On October 28th, the 2nd Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge in Jiangxi Province officially opened to traffic.

The bridge was commenced in September 2009 as part of the Fuzhou-Yinchuan expressway linking Jiangxi Province and Hubei Province. The bridge is 25.193KM in total length, ,of which the main bridge is a double-pylon single-plane cable-stayed bridge adopting composite beams, with pylons of more than 240m high and main span of 818m. It is the first world-leading highway bridge crossing the Yangtze River financed by government of Jiangxi Province.
