On 22th of February 2013, the first pile cap pier shaft of Hong kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (Section CB05) was precast successfully at Zhongshan base. The first prefabricated pile cap & pier shaft was cast integrated. The pile cap is 15.6m in length, 11.4m in wide and 4.5m in height; the bottom section of pier shaft is 14.29m. The total quantities of reinforcement and stainless reinforcement are 191t and 37.4t respectively, and that of concrete is 867m3. The total weight of the first pile cap & pier shaft is 2500t.
